Instrument Special Features: Atlas Series Details

The Atlas Series brings signature Breedlove tone, build quality and technology to a new level of affordability. Two years of intensive R&D preceded the release of the very first Breedlove Atlas guitars, and we maintain a very high level of involvement with every aspect of the production process.

Every single Atlas instrument is thoroughly inspected and set up at the Breedlove Custom Shop in Tumalo before being shipped to Breedlove dealers around the world. This attention to detail is part of our commitment to make Atlas Series guitars and basses worthy of the Breedlove name.


ATLAS SERIES MODEL NUMBER SYSTEM

Atlas Series instrument model numbers use a modular system based on instrument body style, cutaway shape, and tonewoods. The following chart shows how this works.
• The “2” digit refers to Breedlove’s deep body size (4-9/16”). All Atlas models are currently deep-bodied.
• Cutaway models have a Fishman Classic 4 pickup (standard) or Fishman Classic 4t (PLUS). Non-cutaway models do not have electronics.
• “0” and “5” models have solid wood tops and backs.
• “00” and “50” models have solid tops, with laminate backs.

Examples: An AD200/SM is a Dreadnought with no cutaway, a solid Sitka Spruce top and a laminate Mahogany back. An AC25/SF, PLUS is a Concert with soft cutaway, solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Flamed Maple back, and the PLUS package



THE ATLAS PLUS PACKAGE

The Atlas PLUS Package is a value-packed upgrade to the appointments and electronics of your Atlas instrument.




Inlays

Atlas PLUS Concerts are inlaid with Abalone "ellipse" position markers, while Atlas PLUS Dreadnoughts are inlaid with reversed diamonds, also in Abalone.




Rosette & Purfling

The PLUS Package adds fine purfling rings to the Abalone rosette, and Abalone purfling to the perimeter of the top.



Electronics

PLUS Package cutaways are upgraded to the Fishman Classic 4t, a piezo pickup system complete with 3-band EQ, brilliance and volume controls, and a built-in Chromatic Tuner.
