Valuations
At AndysGuitarNet, we can value your guitars or other instruments, amplifiers, speaker cabinets, and effects units or pedals for resale or insurance purposes. We guarantee that what we value and verify is authenticated or we will tell you precisely what, if any, changes or modifications have been made to the original manufacturer’s specification. And since we also verify and authenticate instruments for all the top auction houses, you can be assured that we know what we’re looking at...whether it’s a vintage guitar, used guitar or a collectable amp. We also handle vintage guitar collections and estates, so if you are selling a guitar collection, speak to us first.

In the first instance, give us a brief description of each item you would like to have valued and we will contact you to book a date when you can bring it in for examination. Note: we do not do valuations except by physical inspection.
We will examine the item and provide a value in the current market based on trade knowledge, private sources and, where necessary for rarer items, outside expert opinion. The workshops will also examine the item to give an accurate evaluation of condition and authenticity.
We will then produce a written report with the results of the examination and our professional opinion as to the current and/or replacement value of the item with accompanying notes on any matters that may have influenced the result.
Our fee for doing valuations is dependent on the item being valued and can range from a minimum £30 up to a maximum £500 for a rare or vintage high-value instrument. However, we will always quote you the valuation fee before we start doing any work.
Items for valuation may be dropped into the workshops by yourself or we will send an insured courier to collect the item at an extra cost.
